Coaching is the fastest growing job title in America ($20b US market, and growing 20-30% YoY). With the rise of passion economy and future of work, more people are working for themselves and moving their businesses online. This is an underserved market, and the current solutions aren't working. We have been iterating in this space for 2 years, and are well positioned to become an industry leader, and expand into other adjacent service verticals.

We are already generating revenue and processing 6-figures. We've raised a pre-seed round from investors including Bonfire VC, product & marketing leaders from tech giants (Docusign, Square, Brex), and former founders (Keen.io, Orbit, Timehop, Hummingbird).

Our founder & CEO, Madelin Woods, started Walden after struggling to find tools to run her own coaching practice. Leveraging her background as an early engineer at Square, she started building tools for herself, which quickly got picked up by other coaches with similar problems.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an inspiring company that has already laid a lot of foundation. You will be a key partner, working closely with the CEO to strategize and execute on our vision.

We are looking for a high-impact product designer who is eager to take ownership of a product and continue to shape the complete user experience. You'll be part of our founding team to help drive our next phase of growth.

We are remote-friendly. Our core team is based in NY, however we work with folks all across the country.

What you'll do

• Build wireframes, prototypes, hi-fidelity designs, design docs, user experiences, brand materials, and landing pages to communicate ideas and inform product direction.
• Work closely with the engineering team to own the product roadmap and run smooth sprint planning and QA processes.
• Communicate cross-functionally across internal teams (marketing, sales, and product) as well as external stakeholders (customers, community, investors).
• Create design systems that are simple to understand, and will help us move faster as we scale.
• Make design decisions informed by data and a deep understanding of our customers and their goals.
• Collaborate with the CEO to understand pain points and determine how to address them in a way that will lead the company to success.
• Balance the day-to-day with the bigger picture and longer-term vision.
